Spring Appeal 2026: Help create a place to belong for Queenslanders facing homelessness.Give this spring

Rosies – Friends on the Street

A warm smile, a hot drink, and someone who knows your name.

Can you imagine what it would be like if no one had said your name or looked you in the eye in the last three months? Rosies shares friendship and unconditional acceptance with Queenslanders doing it tough.

Spring Appeal 2026

Tonight, a growing number of Queenslanders face homelessness.

You can help create a place to belong. With the fastest growing rate of homelessness in Australia, we must turn to your support to keep our nightly outreach running across Queensland. Your donation helps keep our vans fuelled, our kettles boiling, and belonging within reach for Queenslanders who need it most.

Our mission

No Queenslander left out or disconnected

Many people who are homeless, at risk of homelessness, or socially isolated go months without real connection. It is our mission to ensure that no Queenslander feels left out or disconnected from their community.

The stress that comes with homelessness also increases the risk of mental illness. You'd be surprised what a difference a simple chat and basic hospitality can make to someone's mental health and physical wellbeing.

Some of our patrons even equate connection and conversation to be as important as safe accommodation and food.Conversation between patron and Team Leader, Emma Miller Place, Brisbane City, 7 March 2021

Real people, real stories

"A highly rewarding and eye-opening experience"

Volunteering with Rosies has pushed me out of my comfort zone and helped me to gain insight into the lives of people doing it tough within our community. The Rosies outreach program provides a safe and easy way to lend a hand and help brighten the day of some of the most vulnerable people in our community.– Amaia, volunteer, Brisbane City
